HPW Programs

Healing Private Wounds offers many programs to help victims and families heal from the painful trauma of sexual abuse. These programs include Recovery Groups, Parents Support Groups, Book Studies, Counseling Services, Mentorship and Online Support Programs, and others. We also have a sexual abuse prevention education program to help protect our children from sexual abuse. Browse through our web site and feel free to contact us when you're ready. We are here for your benefit.

How Do I Heal?

Healing from sexual abuse is a process. The more understanding you get about sexual abuse and your story the easier it is to work through the process. There is never a reason for sexual abuse. It is always wrong and hurtful. You never caused it nor are you responsible for it. It was the unsafe hurtful people in your life that betrayed you. Start your healing journey here; read How Do I Heal?

To be effective in delivering our programs we need financial assistance. It is not an enjoyable task to ask people for money, but it is necessary. Contact Us

Healing Private Wounds is an all volunteer organization. The HPW executive board of 13 and our 20 volunteers work hard to implement our programs because they know that our services are greatly needed. Our Board and volunteers are a mix of survivors and concerned citizens. You do not have to be a survivor of sexual abuse to volunteer and join our caring team. We welcome eager hands to help us and financial backers. Perhaps you heard of our cause and would like to join us, or maybe you are a victim and need support. Whatever the reason, contact us. We look forward to meeting you!

My advice is, life is too short to hang on to hate and that includes self hate. Learn to forgive and that includes you.” -- Willy B.
